Multi function devices look like photo-copying machines, but serve also as printers and scanners. The photo-copying functionality is reserved to staff.

Models in use at the ICTP

Currently the following three models are in use:

MP 3352 SP   

For black and white printing and color scanning. Click here for the User guide.

Printing

To print from ICTP computers, proceed as with any standard printer. Usually it is sufficient to know the name and select it from the application's print dialog.

On the other hand, if you want to configure your laptop, you will also have to download the driver software because these multi function devices are not as common as classical printers and the drivers do not come with the operating systems yet. In the table below we provide the links to the download pages for the various models and the information about which finishers they use. This information is needed to set up the drivers correctly. For Windows, you have to select the PS driver for Universal Print corresponding to your OS version, for OS X there is a PPD Installer for each version.

Scanning

You can scan in documents and have them sent to any e-mail address. It is not necessary to use or have an ICTP e-mail address.
