Eklund Informatics Lab
Location
The Eklund lab is located in the lower level of the Adriatico Guest House and it is dedicated to the memory of Professor Sigvard Arne Eklund. Getting out of the elevator, turn left and you will see it in front of you. From the stairs you have to turn sharply to the right
The phone extension for this room is 638 (+39 040 2240638 from outside the ICTP); you can call for technical assistance by dialing 548 from any internal phone.
This lab is currently reserved to the ICTP Master's in Medical Physics programme.
Equipment
- 24 PCs of the HP Prodesk 600 G4 type. Including the one for the lecturer / teacher.
- A color laser printer with duplex unit and scanning capabilities, named
apubc2. If the printer doesn't work, the nearest one isapubc3outside the Infolab.
Presentation equipment
DLP Projector
One ceiling mounted DLP projector is available for projections. The recommended resolution is 1920x1080 and the recommended frequency 60 Hz. Standard 4:3 resolutions such as SVGA (1024x768) and XGA (1280x1024) are also supported.
Using your own laptop
A spare VGA connector is available in order to connect your own portable computer to the room beamer. Please see the "DLP Projector" chapter above for recommended video settings.
Please Note: in order to connect your laptop to our projector, you need a standard VGA socket. If your computer requires any adapter, please make sure to carry it with you.
